ARE YOU FOLLOWING THE NEWS?
WITH LIFE-ALTERING ANNOUNCEMENTS being iterated almost every hour; you may think it’s your CIVIC DUTY to keep a close watch on the news. But take my advice; DON’T FOLLOW THE NEWS!
I DO LISTEN TO THE NEWS, I JUST DON’T FOLLOW IT. (I don’t WATCH live news on TV, as I refuse to be ripped off for a licence fee)
THE NEWS, you may have noticed, is dominated by ever escalating numbers of COVID-19, positive test cases (which even IF TRUE would prove to be HARMLESS in 99% of cases); and declining numbers of NHS hospital beds, jobs, toilet rolls and CIVIC FREEDOMS. The best thing you can do for your physical and mental health is completely IGNORE the overpaid, pompous liars employed to mislead, aggrieve and DECEIVE YOU!
IGNORE THEM! But listen to what they’re saying all the same. Because, subtly woven into their streams of misinformation are ACTUAL FACTS that you need to take cognisance of; and they, with slight of hand, want to slip past you. FOLLOWING are 3 recent headlines that you may have MISSED while adjusting your face nappy (mask); or when distracted by the FAKE ARGUMENT between BORIS JOHNSON and his “scientific” advisors (SAGE) as to which TOTALLY UNECESSARY, pointless JOB CRUSHING pandemic policy they should be pursuing:
- The legendary “QUESTION TIME” anchor, DAVID DIMBLEBY has thrown his hat into the ring to become the new CHAIR OF BBC GOVERNORS; after being outraged that former Daily Telegraph editor, Charles Moore, was being considered by government on the QT. So, it could be that one David (Sir David Clementi), will be replaced at the end of his 4-year term next February by ANOTHER DAVID, to champion this hugely expensive corporate beast to which all households must do obeisance in the sum of £150 per annum (on pain of imprisonment).
It remains to be seen if ANYONE is willing or able to tame this GOLIATH and ensure TRUE INDEPENDENCE (something patently lacking)! The new governor might start by cutting EXORBITANT SALARIES BY HALF, which would see his fee drop to a paltry £50,000 – Nice work if you can get it; but small change when compared to the £450k Dimbleby was paid from public money to host QT!
(Since the announcement of the “Plandemic” in March 2020, I HAVE WRITTEN TO THE BBC Directors General twice; the outgoing DG, TONY HALL, and his replacement, TIM DAVEY; and the Board of Governors to CHALLENGE THE CORPORATION on its biased coverage of the Covid-19 “story.”)
- THREE UNIVERSITY STUDENTS have been fined £10,000 each for hosting a party in their house in Norwich. You may have heard this; because it’s a HEADLINE designed to grab your attention, IF YOU CAN BELIEVE IT?
I simply say this: IF THIS STORY IS TRUE, which I doubt – GOOD ON ‘EM! It’s about time we saw some REVOLTING STUDENTS!
If I was a student now, I’d be organising mass gatherings, and marches on university halls of administration and government buildings DEMANDING A REFUND of TUITION AND ACCOMODATION FEES! Students are being BLAMED for the fake “2ND WAVE,” and accused of putting their grannies’ lives at risk; when it is overpaid VICE CHANCELLORS and GOVERNMENT ministers that are destroying their future and damaging their mental health with unnecessary, draconian measures. IF FINED, I’d just add it to my preposterous student loan; which I’d never be likely to pay back, because there won’t be a job in the future that earns me enough to take me over the repayment threshold.
IF UNIVERSITIES can’t be bothered to deliver face to face tuition; then I say DITCH YOUR LAPTOPS and “PARTY LIKE ITS 1999!” Every student who is being SHORT-CHANGED by this government and their universities SHOULD VIGOROUSLY PROTEST! They are stealing everything from you; and the worst they can do is PUT YOU IN PRISON – But hey! MANY OF YOU ARE ALREADY IMPRISONED! You don’t need to go to UNI to discover that the government, media and your esteemed professors are talking B****CKS!
- I’ll be surprised if you heard that THE BANK OF ENGLAND (its deputy, Sam Woods in fact) wrote to “lenders” (Banks and Building Soc. to you and me), to see how prepared they are for a potential introduction of “0” (ZERO) or negative (NEGATIVE) INTEREST RATES! There would be a lot of resistance if the England’s Central Bank made this move; but it’s clear that it’s gearing up to take the plunge, should the situation require it.
SO WHAT WOULD THAT MEAN?
Well, we have already become accustomed over the past 10 years to getting next to nothing for our savings (if we’re fortunate enough to have any). I stopped putting money into my NATIONWIDE Building Society “Savers” account almost a decade ago, when I realised I was only earning about 3p for every £100 (0.03%). Since then I think the rate has DROPPED to 0.01% – THE BANK OF ENGLAND BASE RATE. So a move to zero or negative rates, will not only mean our money (again if we have any left after 7 MONTHS OF COVID-19) is DEPRECIATING all the time because of inflation (currently a little over 1% in the UK); BUT BANKS WILL START CHARGING US FOR THE PRIVILEDGE OF DEPOSITING OUR MONEY WITH THEM. Conversely, BORROWERS will virtually be PAID to take money off the lenders hands (but not actually)!
IT’S A CLIMATE THAT THE ELITE (who are the key lenders, AND LANDOWNERS) WANT TO CREATE – So that there is NO INCENTIVE TO SAVE; and everyone is encouraged to SPEND ALL THEIR MONEY (if not, the banks will be eating away at it)! ONCE DONE! Interest rates will shoot back up and the PENNILESS MASSES will be totally beholden to the MONEY GRABBING ELITE!
ONE MORE THING YOU MAY HAVE MISSED
THUS FAR THE BANK OF ENGLAND has spent £745 BILLION on QE (quantitative easing) this year alone (a further £150bn was pumped into the banking system in November 2020)! You might well be curious as to where all this bank generated money is going? Well, directly to THE GOVERNMENT! The government is BORROWING by selling its DEBT to the CENTRAL BANK. You might think this is a good thing; because with all these furlough, grant, tax break and benefits schemes to fund, the government needs MONEY and lots of it! WELL, YES, BUT! NO BUT, NO!…The government didn’t need to borrow (in fact SELL its debt to itself)! It could hold that debt on its own ledger. However, according to RICHARD MURPHY, this subterfuge is to maintain the CLIMATE OF AUSTERITY (whatever Boris tells us).
QE CAN BE USEFUL, BUT:
“ … such programmes need to be TARGETED TO WORK. That means that they need to be designed to have an impact in the real world where people work, whoever their employer might be. And so far there appears to be no plan to back up this level of spend, which is what is troubling about it.”
And there are two more unwelcome side effects of QE Rishi Sunak is unlikely to tell you about (but let’s face it, he’s unlikely to tell you ANYTHING meaningful that adds up; which is why the Chancellor cancelled his autumn statement):
“…because quantitative easing is being used private markets are involved and A RAKE-OFF FROM THE QE PROGRAMME WILL GO TO THE FINANCIAL SERVICES SECTOR, entirely unnecessarily (Someone is cashing in on this crisis at our expense!).
“… quantitative easing does have A HISTORY OF INFLATING PRIVATE SECTOR ASSET PRICES, AND SO OF MASSIVELY CONTRIBUTING TO GROWTH IN INEQUALITY IN THE LAST DECADE. This is likely to happen again.”
SO, that’s just 3 NEWS STORIES you might have caught but failed to “drill down on” to find out their real significance! If you’re living your life from NEWS “HEADLINE TO HEADLINE,” YOU ARE BEING MISDIRECTED! And you’re liable to end up in THE DITCH THE GOVERNMENT IS DIGGING FOR YOU. Once there, there’ll be no one to pull you out; because the majority of people will be IN THE DITCH WITH YOU, no doubt all wearing face masks. So at least you will be protected from Covid-19!
ON THE OTHER HAND; if you know where the “movers and shakers” are headed – YOU CAN PREDICT THE NEWS!
